Reuben James gives an intimate performance of his stand-out track ‘So Cool’ in a box of the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.
One of the UK’s most interesting voices, James' @itsreubenjamesmusic infectious magnetism has seen a wealth of artists queuing up to collaborate with him, ranging from arena-filling superstars Stormzy and Sam Smith to the likes of Herbie Hancock, Lang Lang, Marcus Mumford and Disclosure.
Through these collaborations, and influences that span Frank Ocean, D’Angelo, Erykah Badu and Robert Glasper, James has developed a unique sound and style of his own.
Throughout his career James has championed releasing music through his own record label. Among those releases is the 2020 EP, Slow Down, from which comes ’So Cool’. Arguably the artist’s best known track, ‘So Cool’ has been streamed more than 23 million times to date.
