Extracting the interesting data from a large dataset is a very common task. For very very VERY large datasets, there are entire frameworks dedicated to this task.
But if you work with text data containing less than, say, few millions rows -- the humble standard Unix tools will probably do the job.
In this video, I will show you how you can leverage the grep command to extract about 2000 rows from a set of more than 10000. And it takes only a fraction of a second!
