Humanity has long wondered about communicating with aliens. However, there are also creatures on our own planet that have the potential to communicate.

Researchers are studying the communication of species such as whales, dolphins and prairie dogs.

It has been discovered that prairie dogs make different sounds in times of danger. These sounds indicate the type of danger (coyote, dog, human). They can even distinguish clothing colors.

The "click" sounds of sperm whales are also being studied. Within the scope of the SETI project, hydrophones are placed on whales and sounds are recorded.

Dolphins are thought to have their own "signature sounds". Researcher Denise Herzing has developed a device called CHAT to communicate with dolphins.

Artificial intelligence plays two important roles in these studies:
It can quickly analyze large amounts of data.
It can extract meaning from complex structures and create new ways of communicating.

However, we still have a long way to go to fully communicate with animals. Some concepts can be difficult to share. However, AI has the potential to build a bridge for interspecies communication.
