I've upgraded my piano music visualizer once again! As usual, this project was a ridiculous challenge to render. Pushing my PC to the limit always leads to unexpected crashes.
Fun Facts:
At the peak insanity this project was taking 18 minutes per frame to render
4k frames at 60 fps was ~300 GB of data that took over a week to render (due to crashes and restarts)
I designed the path tracing accumulation sample count to be dynamically adjustable while recording (useful for adding more samples while the scene is dark for example)
Nvidia Studio Drivers are more stable than the gaming drivers
