Create dynamic groups in Google Workspace | Google Workspace Admin
#Google #Groups in #GSuite - Now Google Workspace - is a very important part in allowing better #collaboration and #communication between your users! It also allows you to manage application access and features for the users in the domain.
For a very long time, Google Workspace had only one type of groups in terms of membership, which is the static groups. You can make your own customization and dynamic groups solutions using Apps Script or third-party tools but all of those will be using the groups API at the back-end, and the resulted group will still be called a static group.
However this seems to be changing!
I was alerted by one of my colleagues about a new addition to the groups page in our testing G Suite admin console which has G Suite Enterprise. So I went ahead and checked our production admin console but I did not find that same button. So I thought why not check my own admin console?
When I checked I actually found the button there, and I thought there must be something common, and I only thought of #Google_Cloud Identity Premium... I know that Google are going to make major changes to #CIP and I thought this might be one of them. However I really hope that these dynamic groups are going to be available for all G Suite users and all Cloud Identity users as well! This is a great update that should be enabled for everyone!
