Text to Columns in Excel
Text To Column option in excel is available in the Data menu tab under the Data Tools section, which is used for separated text available in a cell or column to the columns by splitting them with different criteria. Mostly this process is called the delimiting process, where we split or separate the text into the column with spaces, commas, any word, or else we can use a fixed-width option by which text will be placed into cells of the same row from the point we want to break it.

Where can we find this feature in Excel?

The answer to this question is in the Data tab. There is a section of text to column feature
There are two separate features of Text to Column:

1. Delimited: This feature splits the text, which is being joined by characters, Commas, Tabs, Spaces, Semicolon or any other character such as a hyphen (-).

2. Fixed Width: This feature splits the text which is being joined with spaces with some certain width.

How to Convert Text to Columns in Excel?
Text to Columns in Excel is very simple and easy to create. Let understand the working of Text to Columns in Excel by Some Examples.
Remove Line Breaks in a Cell
Later, if you want to replace all the line breaks with a space character, use a special shortcut — Ctrl + J — in the Find and Replace dialog box.

Note: A line break (line feed) is character 10 in the ASCII characters, and the Ctrl + J shortcut is the original ASCII control code for character 10.

To replace a line break with a space character:

Select the cells that you want to search
On the keyboard, press Ctrl + H to open the Find and Replace dialog box, with the Replace tab active
On the Replace tab, click in the Find What box
On the keyboard, press Ctrl + J to enter the line break character
NOTE: Nothing will appear in the Find What box
Press the Tab key on the keyboard, to move to the Replace With box
Type a space character
Then, do these steps to find or replace the line breaks

Click Find Next or Find All, to find the cells with line breaks.
OR
Click Replace or Replace All, to replace the line breaks with space characters.
Text to Columns
Don't forget that Excel has a built-in Text to Columns feature that can split text according to the delimiter of your choice, though it is not a dynamic solution like a formula. On Windows, you can type Control + J to enter the equivalent of a new line character for the "Other" delimiter. You can also use Control + J for new line during search and replace operations.

I'm not sure how to enter a new line character in Mac Excel, as a delimiter, or in the search and replace dialog. If you know how, please leave a comment below.
