Alvin is a China-US-India-Indonesia technology executive and currently heads Xiaomi Indonesia and started POCO, a new sub-brand within Xiaomi (1810.HK). Throughout his Xiaomi career, Alvin has led marketing for Xiaomi Europe, sales operation for Xiaomi India and served as chief of staff to Hugo Barra. He has 10+ years of operational and investing experiences across four largest internet markets: China, India, Indonesia and the United States. Before Xiaomi, he started and led Flipboard China after a stint as Entrepreneur in Residence at StartX.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alvin graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering. While at Stanford, he was Co-President of BASES, the world's largest entrepreneurship student group, and Co-Founder of CEO (Chinese Entrepreneurs Organization), which has since become the premier business network for Stanford's Chinese entrepreneurs. In addition, he was CEO and co-founder of ThinkBulbs, a mobile startup that crafted two leading iOS photography apps with more than a million happy users. The company was subsequently acquired by Megatasty Labs in 2011.

On the side, Alvin enjoys advising founders and investing in disruptive startups. With his global network and resources, Alvin strives to meaningfully connect people, markets and opportunities.
