Art is a form of expression and how diverse and abstract it can be, but make sense in a way people see it. Art can be seen from many points of view and can describe the artists just by feeling the art, using one or maybe more of the human 5 senses. Asmara Abigail, an Indonesian actress originally from Jakarta, harbours a lifelong passion for both film and fashion. Eventually, her remarkable journey led her into the world of cinema, where she established a thriving career. Her talents were recognised with an award at the prestigious 2019 Macao International Film Festival & Awards, and she also clinched the Penjor Award for Best Actress at the 2022 Bali Makarya Film Festival. Abigail's filmography received many recognitions, with some examples such as "Yuni" by Kamila Andini, a winner at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival; "Stone Turtle" by Woo Ming Jin, winner of the FIPRESCI Award at the 2022 Locarno International Film Festival, where she also earned a best actress nomination; and many more, including box office hits "Satan's Slaves" (2017), "Gundala" (2019), "Impetigore" (2019), and "Satan's Slaves 2: Communion" (2022), all directed by Joko Anwar This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
