Morgana Wallace’s collages look like they’re about to start moving. In this video created by filmmaker Kelly Conlin, Wallace lets you in on not only her process but the journey her work takes her on. She says, “As a person with social anxiety, it’s definitely been an escape for me to do artwork. It’s very cathartic. And since I don’t travel a lot, it’s a way to explore or to go somewhere else, even if it’s made out of paper.” And she’ll also tell you why making her collages keeps her connected to her childhood, her memories of it and its magic.
