A leading ballet dancer for the Bolshoi Ballet and two others have admitted to being involved in an acid attack on the Bolshoi ballet director and have all signed written confessions, Moscow police said Wednesday.
Police say Pavel Dmitrichenko paid 50,000 rubles to Yuri Zarutsky, who is being accused of throwing acid at Sergei Filin.
Andrey Lipatov allegedly drove the getaway car after Zarutsky carried out the acid attack.
Filin, 42, suffered severe burns to his face and damage to his eyes, especially the right eye.
Moscow police said that the motive appeared to stem from a personal grudge connected to behind-the-scenes dealings of the dance troupe.
The three men remain in police custody.
