Garage doors come in two different types: rolling code and fixed code. Depending on which you have, the setup process for your Honda HomeLink garage door opener will be a little different. We’ll show you how figure out which you have and how to program it.
Whether you have a rolling code or fixed code, the first steps are the same. You’ll need your current garage door remote for both types. If you have a rolling code garage door, then you may also need a stepping stool or a step ladder.
Hold the garage door remote within 6” of your Honda vehicle’s HomeLink buttons
Press and hold the HomeLink button you wish to program and the open button on your garage door remote
Continue holding both buttons on each device until the HomeLink light flashes
HomeLink light will either turn solid or flash rapidly.
This works for Accord CRV Civic Odyssey and other Honda models.
