In January, the highest court of the United Nations ruled that Israel must take all measures to prevent genocidal acts in Gaza, including public statements that could be inciting - or encouraging - genocide.

Israel says the case brought against them at the International Court of Justice is outrageous and rejects the allegation of genocide.

BBC News Arabic asks, what action has Israel taken since the ICJ’s interim order, and investigates what’s been said publicly in Israel. What are the legal arguments around these comments? Could they be inciting genocide? And what have Israeli soldiers in Gaza been saying?
