Amcrest IP Cameras - How to Upgrade Firmware
In this video, we show you where to find the firmware page, as well as how to upgrade your camera with a new version. Being on the latest firmware version is very crucial as it allows for your camera to have the latest updates in user experience, security, and performance.
It is advisable to plug your camera into your router with a hardwired Ethernet connection any time you are upgrading firmware, just in case your WiFi connection drops, so that you don't accidentally brick (or make unusable) your camera. Keep it plugged in until the update is complete, and then you can return your camera to its normal position and connection to WiFi.
