Amd Athlon 64 3500+ Running 64bit Linux Mint Mate!
Hey everyone! In this video, I'm firing up my trusty old AMD Athlon 64 3500+ and My Pristine MSI K8N Diamond Plus motherboard and I'm going to try and run 64bit Linux Mint Mate on it. Let's see how this classic CPU handles a modern Linux distro. I'll be taking you through the live boot and install process, showing you the desktop environment, trying out some basic tasks Like YouTube video playback and see if I can get a few games to run and see how it performs overall! On this channel I like to see how far I can take older cpus and hardware and if it’s possible to run new and modern Operating systems on them! This isn't about pushing the system to its limits, but more about exploring how well Linux Mint Mate can breathe new life into and run on older hardware.
