Drive through Little Cottonwood Canyon from Salt Lake City (I-15, I-80, UT-190, UT-210)
This video is of the drive from Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, up through the Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Moutain Range, which is also located in Utah. Major routes taken include Interstate 15 South, Interstate 80 East, Interstate 215 East, Utah State Route 190 East, and Utah State Route 210 East. The drive is very scenic, being sandwiched between mountains on both sides. The canyon is home to hiking in the summer and in the winter is home to two ski areas, Alta and Snowbird, which are two of the snowiest ski areas in the United States. In this video, the drive continues until the Snowbird parking lot, located near the end of the canyon. In the winter, the road often closes due to avalanche control and high snowfall.
