Which Flash Power Setting Do I use?

Don’t have a light meter? You don’t need one. Just turn the flash up or down in power to suit your creative vision! Just make sure you don’t change your camera settings. Always change the flash power first. Don’t know what power to start on? Just have a guess, you have to start somewhere. Then just turn it up or down. As you do it more often, you will guess more accurately. Your image doesn’t always have to be a technically accurate exposure either, but it is important to know your LCD screen intimately so you know how that image translates to the final image on a computer. I know that if the image looks a little overexposed on my LCD screen then it’s actually pretty spot on. Your camera might be different.

Do I think you should still own a light meter? Absolutely. They are very handy and sometimes needed.
