After upgrading to Joomla 3.2 some sites have experienced issues with a white screen on both the admin and frontend of the website. Learn in less than 5 minutes one option that could fix your problem. Read the complete description for links and more.
There are a number of possible temporary solutions to getting your Joomla 3.2 site back up and running until the Joomla core and/or extensions you have are upgraded and patched. In short, here are the links to some of the solutions I've found. This tutorial breaks down method number one.
Option 1 - Access site via FTP, rename the plugins/system/remember/remember.php file to anything (remember-bak.php for example). Refresh your admin page. If it does return, then visit the Extensions ... Extension Manager ... Database tab. Click the Fix button found at the top left of the screen. Return to your FTP manager and name the remember.php file back to what it originally was. You should be good. (If the admin does not return after refreshing as stated above, you could try uploading a Joomla 3.1 version of the remember.php file after renaming the 3.2 version to something different to get it out of the way temporarily. Then refresh. If admin page comes back, then delete the 3.1 version of the remember.php file and rename the original 3.2 version of the file back to normal.) -- http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php... -- credit to Hazaa for this fix.
Option 2 - Follow the instructions found at CloudAccess.net here http://www.cloudaccess.net/about-us/b... . This too involves basically disabling some folders via renaming and seeing if the site comes back. Hopefully the Joomla team can issue a patch update that will fix the issues for good.
Option 3 - Possibly your template designer might need to issue a patch specific to their template. Or a problem extension might be the cause. If this is the case it can involve a little trial or error troubleshooting to locate the trouble spot and fix.
