In this lesson we look at how to harmonise a melody. You can harmonise a melody by playing another note with each note of the melody (usually from the same key that the melody is in). Generally, harmonised notes are played below the melody so that the melody is on top and clearly heard. The most common harmonising notes are the 3rd and 6th interval above that note (staying within the notes of the scale). However, you can harmonise with any note in the scale (or even outside the scale if you're super adventurous).
