When they're not munching on fruit, chimpanzees also enjoy leafy greens. They'll eat young leaves, buds, and even flowers. These plants give them important nutrients to help them grow strong and healthy.
Now, here's something that might surprise you – chimpanzees also eat insects and other small animals. They think termites and ants are a yummy snack and will use sticks to fish them out of their nests. As for meat, chimpanzees sometimes hunt small monkeys or other mammals in the forest.
