How to take a venous blood gas sample using a 'direct stab' technique
This video demonstrates one way of taking a venous blood sample using a blood gas syringe in order to measure venous blood gas content (otherwise performing a VBG).
Here you will see the doctor taking blood via a 'direct stab' into the vein.
