Crystal Bridges: Knowing the West
As part of its Arkansas Live initiative, Arkansas PBS will livestream Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art’s Exhibition Opening Lecture: “Knowing the West” Friday, Sept. 13, at 5:30 p.m. at myarpbs.org/arkansasliveplaylist.
This opening conversation is centered on the exhibition “Knowing the West: Visual Legacies of the American West,” the first major traveling exhibition to embrace and examine how people see the American West, focusing on the coexistence of art created between 1785 and 1922 by Native American and non-Native American artists. Presented by co-curators Mindy Besaw and Jami Powell with invited guests, viewers will enjoy untold stories of the West.
