I recently published a video where I show the cinematic capabilities of the GoPro Hero 7 black ( • GoPro Hero 7 Black Cinematic Footage ... ). So a lot of people asked me how I edited this video and here is the answer...
A lot of people bought the Hero 7 as it's a great camera, especially with its hyper smooth stabilization. But I think a lot of people don't know how to edit their GoPro videos properly to give a cinematic impression.
So that's my video editing tutorial on how I edit my GoPro Hero 7 Black videos in Final Cut Pro X. In this video you will learn:
how to use smooth zoom and slide transitions
how to do masking transitions (quick introduction)
how to use speed-ramping and speed-ramp transitions
why you should film in 60p or 120p
how to make your videos even smoother by using the internal stabilization of Final Cut Pro X
