Nearly every flight simulator pilot has experienced a situation wherein ATC assigns a runway equipped with an ILS approach, only to find out that the ILS approach bearing, glideslope or both are inaccurate. Yikes!
Once you notice the ILS discrepancy, you quickly switch off the auto-pilot APP switch and prepare yourself and the aircraft to perform a visual approach.
This video demonstrates an assigned ILS approach on runway 9 at Zamboanga Intl, Philippines (RPMZ). If I was to follow the ILS bearing and glideslope, I'd end up touching down on the tarmac and stopping in the tool shed!
Watch how Mike (my trusty IYP co-pilot) deals with the approach!
