Demo of Digibooster -S vnt turbo controller.
The purpose of this unit is to allow a vnt turbo to be fitted to an engine that never had one, and where there is no means for controlling the vane position & hence boost pressure.
The brake servo line provides the vacuum to move the actuator. A solenoid valve modulates the vacuum to vary the position of the actuator and hence the vnt turbo vanes.
The existing map/ boost pressure sensor provides the control signal.
The Digibooster has 16 settings and an overboost blocker to stop the engine ecu cutting the fuel if higher than standard boost is required.
It features 3 cables: map sensor, power from an ignition controlled 12v source via a 5amp fuse, and a cable to plug into the boost control valve.
The unit is also available for mechanically injected engines but will need a suitable map sensor and boost control valve.
