Baldur's Gate 3: Romance Minthara in Act 1 & Keep Wyll & Karlach As Companions [Patch 6]
During my Dark Urge playthrough in Baldur's Gate 3, I wanted to keep Wyll & Karlach as companions but also wanted to romance Minthara.
I didn't find any working solution for me so I exprimented & have uploaded a working method, or at least it worked for me multiple times.
I first tried this method just as Wyll & he was hard-stuck in combat even when dead and moved far away from the Grove. I then tried it with Wyll & another companion & found that other companion would end up stuck flagged in-combat but Wyll didn't, but I couldn't get rid of the companion to long rest. This led me to using the hireling which even in combat can be dismissed/made to leave the players party. There might be an easier way for this but for now as of Patch 6 this is working on both PS5 & PC. I have not tried Xbox Series X|S but I am sure it works there too.
Chapters:
00:00 - Step 1: Have Tav, Wyll & Karlach in your party. Have Elixir of Hill Giant Strength in your inventory.
00:11 - Step 2: Recruit any hireling from Withers.
01:07 - Step 3: Group Wyll, Karlach & the Hireling together. Have Wyll steal the Idol of Silvanus.
03:02 - Step 4: Let the druids kill Wyll, Karlach & the Hireling.
03:36 - Step 5: Use the Elixir of Hill Giant Strength on Tav & pickup both Wyll & Karlachs body (2 trips may be needed).
04:40 - Step 6: Carry & drop Wyll & Karlach's bodies to a safe spot outside of the Grove.
07:40 - Step 7: Head back to camp & have Withers watch over the hireling.
08:15 - Step 8: Long rest & head to the Goblin Camp to speak with Minthara about attacking the grove.
11:52 - Step 9: Long rest again & head to the Grove to speak with Minthara once more.
16:51 - Step 10: You can now begin romancing Minthara.
24:47 - Step 12: Retrieve Wyll & Karlach.
