Ok, the minute I saw this scene from part 2 I IMMEDIATELY got started on animating it, I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! Long explanation short, the scene just kind of brings Pixal and Zane's relationship full circle. All this time I've kind of had to headcannon how Pixal felt in their relationship, since it was never really explored that much in the show, and now it HAS and the ship can sail with flying colors XD
But in all seriousness, had a lot of fun experimenting with poses and more "intimate" expressions and scenes, really trying to capture the raw emotion I felt watching the interaction. Plus the hugging animation was DEFINITELY an experience with some challenges to make it look smooth and yknow, applying physics. Very proud of the result, and hope y'all like this :3
