Pressure Sores is also called as bedsores or pressure ulcers and decubitus ulcers are injuries to skin and underlying tissue resulting from prolonged pressure on the skin. Pressure Sores most often develop on skin that covers bones area of the body, such as the heels, ankles, hips and tailbone or elbows.
Pressure sores are categorized by degrees of severity and it occurs in four stages. There is a staging process to help our treatment doctor diagnose and treat us.
