Client? or Customer? These two words can easily be confused.

Client = /ˈklaɪ.ənt/
Customer = /ˈkʌs.tə.mɚ/

A client pays for a service.
A customer pays for a product.

A lawyer has clients.
A store has customers.

Yes, sometimes these two nouns are used interchangeably, but "client" sounds more formal and usually refers to someone who pays for a service.
