Overview for the 2024 Lexus RZ 450e
Slide behind the wheel of the 2024 RZ450e, and its plush seats, premium interior materials, and pillowy ride all contribute to the quiet luxury that Lexus is known for. But the RZ is not a typical Lexus, as it's the brand's first EV. It shares a platform with the Subaru Solterra and Toyota bZ4X SUVs, but it gets a more powerful, 308-hp dual-motor powertrain that provides snappier performance. The Lexus also wears a more upscale look, with a fastback roofline and a ducktail spoiler just above its glowing LED taillamp bar. There's plenty of tech, including a large 14.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that is both quick to load and easy to use. The RZ fits in well with Lexus's other SUVs, but there's a catch—and it's a big one.
What's New for 2024 Lexus RZ 450e?
Lexus hasn't said yet what will change for the RZ for 2024 but based on some changes coming to the Subaru Solterra—which shares its platform with the Lexus—we expect to see a few refinements. The RZ may get a new squared-off steering wheel design, some revisions to its suite of driver-assistance features, and improvements to its battery warming system to help improve charging times in cold weather.
