Check out this fascinating video that shows a pair of loved-up sea horses mating.
The two specimens dance swim towards each other, before the female seahorse inserts her eggs in to the male’s pouch at the front of his body.
The mating style of a seahorse is considered unusual, as a female transfers the eggs to the male, who then fertilises and gives birth to them.
The seahorse then can give birth to anything up to 1500 tiny seahorses, and they often mate for life.
