RGT Cycling - A Free Zwift Alternative
I've been a Zwift subscriber for about a year, but that could be coming to an end, now I've found RGT Cycling. Road Grand Tour cycling offers so much, even on it's free model, it makes itself a very viable alternative to Zwift.
It's simple enough to setup, as long as you have a smart indoor trainer that has a power measurement, then it shoud link in via bluetooth or Ant+ to the app or your laptop or Apple TV. Before you know it, you're cycling up the Stelio Pass!
It also links into Strava, which for most cyclist is a must have option.
I particularly love some of the attention to detail and statistics, such as giving you an actual amount of Watts that you're saving by drafting a rider in front, or the count down to the next segment you're approaching, then you will also get progress updates whilst in that segment of how you're performing against your latest PR!
All on all, a very good bit of software that is very usable as the free version, which even includes syncing to TrainerRoad.
Should you want some of the premium features such as Magic Roads or to be able to organize your own races, it's only $14.99 a month for that, or free while the COVID19 lockdown is in effect.
