In this video tutorial, we'll create an accessibility-friendly Skip Link for your WordPress website with Oxygen. Generally, Skip Links can be found at the very top of a website and allow users to efficiently move past the header and go directly to the content on the page. Skip Links can also be added to areas where you have a lot of repeated content and want to allow the user to move past that.
We'll start by editing our Main template and assigning the Inner Content element to have the main HTML tag. We'll then wrap the Inner Content element in Div that has the ID of main.
Lastly, we'll create the Skip Link by adding a Text Link element to the top of the template, adding a description and some styles to make it show only when a user tabs over it, and then linking it to the #main anchor on the page.
