I've decided that it's time for my Wharram Pahi 31 catamaran to gain a sailing tender. A multihull should have a mutihull for a tender! I designed a proa of course!
I build a 4.2 meter proa, that also paddles well, from 3 sheets of plywood, while parked on the beach on a small island near Nelson, New Zealand.
Here are the plans I drew: https://drive.google.com/drive/folder...
Note, after editing this footage I realized it would have been quite a bit easier (and probably faster) if I had built a strongback. Also I put the bulkheads too far to the ends. Later I added another set of bulkheads further back. Also I messed up and could have made the decks a little longer. That would make it safer in a capsize so highly recommended.
If you build a boat to this design, or just one influenced or inspired by it, please feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments!
