How to teach Bicycling
1. Sanitize handlebar and saddle thoroughly.
2. Keep always safe distance with the trainee wearing mask and gloves.
Select a cycle so that the trainee can keep both her legs on the ground comfortably.
3. Show the trainee how to get into and out of cycle and saddle.
4. Sit on the saddle and show her she will never fall down since both her foot is on the ground.
5. The main obstacle in cycle learning is the fear that they will fall down. tell her even if they want to fall down it is not possible as they are sitting like sitting in a chair.
6. To give more confidence ask her to walk sitting on the saddle with both legs.
7. Two rounds we can ask them to do this exercise.
8. Just walk alongside the trainee.
9. Ask trainee to look straight forward holding the handle very relaxed.
10. This will make them very confident that they will not fall down.
11. Once they have mastered this ask her to get down.
sit on the saddle keep one leg (say right leg) on the pedal at lower side, lean slightly to left side keeping the left leg in such a way that the left pedal won't hit the left leg while moving.
12. Show her how to move pushing with the left leg. Give the cycle to her and ask her to do the same. Tell her to look straight always.
13. Second round asked to do it with the left foot on the pedal and right leg on the ground, normally people are free with their right leg on pedal and left leg on the ground. but some people are comfortable with left leg on the pedal.
14. Always be on the right side where they have kept their foot and move along with them.
15. They will have problem in balancing first they will be keeping the right foot down so keep on telling that they are doing very well and better than many others and give them confidence to boost their confidence.
16. This exercise will take some time to master.
17. Then show them to lift the left leg little above the ground for a few seconds.
18. No that we can show them to pedal slightly with the right leg like scraping foot on a carpet.
19. New tell them to increase the duration of the lifting of the left leg from the ground simultaneously pedalling. slightly.
20. Encourage them to lift the left foot step by step up till they are able to touch the pedal.
21. Two to three rounds ask them only to touch the pedal.
22. Now ask trainee to start peddling. initially it will be difficult but organically they will start pedalling.
23. Remember all ways to encourage them even for the slightest improvement

Once they start pedalling. tell them how to apply brakes properly.
24. Always be on the right side walking or running.
