In this short walkthrough I will show you how to get both bells in 1 - 6 "Big Oak's Entrance". You will only be able to get 1 bell if this is your first time through.
In order to get both bells in 1-6, you need to unlock "Brutus", the 2nd cat. At the beginning of the level, switch to Brutus, then work your way to the end of the map. Once you're near the finish line, go to the opposite side and charge the wall. The wall will break if you're using Brutus. Now follow the path and retrieve the 2nd bell!
