When you choose/design a colour scheme you usually use swatches of colours/fabric/materials and match them together to build up a picture of the different elements.
I wanted to be able to visualise the colour schemes for room finishes in the same sort of process in Excel and Conditional formatting was a method that will display colour variations for spaces.
I use Vlookup, Lists & Conditional formatting to manage the process.
Using Revit schedules can be quite difficult. Finishes schedules are a challenge as they are constantly changing. One method is to use Excel and import/export from Revit.

I am interested in trying to make design/construction data available for Facility Management/Operations through simple and practical tools that are either Open Source, free to use (Adobe Reader), common use (eg Excel) and also easily shareable.
The tools help extend the practical life of buildings and built assets and make useful information about those assets available when needed using modern processes. They also help reduce the cost of maintaining those assets.
