The story begins from when I was listening to the audio book, the Dhandho Investor by Mohnish Pobrai. He is a really smart guy and someone I look to emulate.
He tells a story how he investigated the oil tanker stock industry back in 2002, and made a large investment.
So I was intrigued enough to go and have a look at his thesis in 2002 and this is how I started learning about the oil tanker stock industry.
I then got sucked into a research hole, absorbing everything I could about how the oil tanker industry works.
I strongly recommend doing some further research if you are interested.
