Places we visited on this trip
📍Kuroshio Kobo
A place where you can experience making bonito tataki. I experienced the intermediate course this time, but it takes about 30 minutes and you can have a set meal afterwards. It is located on a hill with a nice view. I heard that at Kuroshio Honjin next door, you can take a hot spring bath while looking at the sea.

📍Katsuo (bonito) Memorial
Those who eat a lot of bonito should pay a visit.

📍Kochiya
They had handmade Tokoroten. Unfortunately, it was closed. There is an eaves to eat shaved ice or something on a hot summer day.

📍Kochiya
I wanted to have a cup of coffee after dinner, but this place was also closed. Is the market closed on Wednesdays?

📍Kurei Taisho-machi Market
Small and cute market. I heard you can get fresh fish if you go in the morning. They say you can buy and eat on the spot.

📍Tanaka Fresh Fish Store Fisherman's Hut
This store is located in Kure Taisho-machi Market. I heard you can try bonito tapping here as well. Well, this place was also closed.

Tada Suisan Roadside Station Kawasusonosato Susaki Store
I saw the signboard of this place on the way back to the city from Kure on the highway, and I wanted to drop by, but I probably passed by it. I wanted to stop by but probably passed it by.

📍Hashimoto Shokudo
This is a restaurant that I originally planned to go to but didn't because I didn't have enough stomach capacity on the day. I found some instant nabeyaki ramen at the gift shop, so I'm safe.

Katsurahama Beach
The sea breeze is nice. The beach is gravel, so I'm glad I didn't walk in it with my shoes. Swimming was prohibited because of the high waves. But it was a beautiful beach.

Kaizumi-jinja Shrine (Ryuoh-gu Shrine)
It would be nice to see the sunset from here. But the stairs are a bit steep.

Ryoma Sakamoto Statue
Do people in Kochi call Ryoma Sakamoto “Ryoma-san”? Only Mirai-san was very close to Ryoma in a limited time event called “Close up to Ryoma”.

📍Myojinmaru Hirome Market Store
This might be the place you recommended the most in your last comment. It was indeed delicious with a strong aroma of straw. I had it here in Furusato.

📍Kayorotei Hirome branch
I think I heard a comment, “Locals love this place.” Does that mean it's the original restaurant for bonito tataki?

Yasubei at 📍Hirome
Why fried gyoza in Kochi? I thought, “Why deep fried dumplings in Kochi?” But when all I eat is bonito tataki, I crave this kind of flavor. The skin was thin and crispy.

📍ecocca
The only shaved ice I can eat after eating to my limit in Kochi. You can probably eat it no matter how full you are.

Thank you to all the viewers in Kochi for sharing your many recommendations for places to go. This was the first time for both Mirai and me to visit Shikoku, and it is a great place for food, history, and nature. The dialect of Kochi is soft and nice, and everyone we met was very kind to us. I would like to stay at a hotel and have a drink next time. (As expected of Kochi residents, half of the recommendations were izakaya (Japanese style pubs)...!
Kochi people are very kind to us.
