Hand drawing is an important part of my design workflow. Even as my process becomes more digital, I still reach for a pen/stylus when I want to solve a design solution or put a unique touch in my
renderings.
I have used touch screen laptops (Surface Pro & Surface Book) in the past but have wasted so much time switching between my primary workstation desktop and the laptop that the most obvious solution was a drawing display as part of my primary workstation setup.
I gave the Artist 24 Pro from @xppen a try and have been impressed with how much more convenient and useful this is for my workflow. The drawable screen is much larger (21”x12”) than what I am used to with my Surface. It also has better pen sensitivity and the added benefit of being tied to my more
powerful desktop as a second display.
This is a much more affordable option to what Wacom sells with the same features and I personally
believe makes more sense for landscape designers/architects who are not just “illustrators” but are
looking to get into the digital illustration realm.
If you have a permanent workstation with a desktop, I highly recommend this Artist 24 Pro from @xppen or you can check out more of their products on their page and website xp-pen.com
