The Backcountry Cinch Straps are used to secure a rear duffle or pannier topper to your bike. This is our version of the ultimate cinch strap. There are no elastic or plastic parts to break/stretch on a long trip – just high-tensile polyfilament webbing, two metal cam buckles, and features you won’t find in any other strap.

These two-piece straps quickly connect to the bike using lanyard loops, and they also have adjustable-length tails, so they'll work on everything from a large high capacity duffle to a small pannier topper. They include strap keepers, so your excess strap lengths won't flap around in the wind, and the buckles have a webbing backing to prevent damage to the bag/bike.

We designed these straps to function as an emergency tow strap if you have a breakdown (put the rear duffle on your back, worn as a backpack, and use the straps to tow) or an emergency tie-down system if you have to load your bike in the back of someone's truck in a pinch. Check out the product video to see how it works.
