A new BLENDER CHALLENGE is starting on the zerobio discord. The topic is "Tools" so I've decided to show you how to model a PIPE WRENCH. In this video, I do the modeling of the wrench and in the next video I will unwrap it and texture it in SUBSTANCE PAINTER.
I am hoping to find time to model a couple of other objects for the challenge in addition to this wrench. I can't say for certain what those will be but when I do decide, I will continue this series of videos for you.
If you would like to join the challenge, you are most welcome to do that. Head on over to the ZEROBIO DISCORD (see link below) and you can see what others are modeling. The challenge is open to anybody who enjoys modeling in Blender. The rules of the challenge are that you model an object (or multiple objects, including a scene if you like) that fits the topic of "Tools". The models have to be your own and modeled specifically for the challenge, ie. not something you have on your hard drive from the past. So you must model in Blender but you are free to do materials/textures using any software you wish. That could be Blender or Substance Painter or Substance Designer or anything else. As you work on your model, you can upload images/screenshots of your WIP (work in progress) for everyone to see how it is progressing and eventually provide one or two final renders. Please ensure that your images go in the correct channels, ie. "tools-challenge-wips" and "tools-challenge-renders" on the discord. The due date will be announced later but assume 2 to 3 weeks.
