In this series of videos, I will be sharing the ups and downs of game development as I bring my second game, Replicator, from concept to AppStore.
As with ZER0ED, I'll be writing this game in SpriteKit learning as I go, and making LOTS of mistakes to be sure. This, as with YouTube, is a hobby of mine and not my full-time job, so set your expectations accordingly. :)

In this video, I'm just getting started with the project. The first step was to get the card system roughly working. Which meant I needed to have draggable cards. To do that I subclassed SKSpriteNode so that I could build some functionality into the cards later.
The cards then need to spawn something when they're played. Currently, we have this working with RepliGenerators, but I see this growth both in terms of functionality and variability in future builds.
Finally, the RepliGenerators needed to do something. Again we're just starting with the very basic outline here so nothing too special to show yet, but it's work.
What isn't working? Well - the RepliFood / RepliSink whatever we're going to call it. Yeah, that's a problem. The good thing is I know how to fix it already!
