We have nine different rocks and two wood types in our product range. All products are also available in different sizes. Olli invited a guest who will present you our hardscape. Sascha Hoyer has been an integral part of the German and also the international aquascaping scene. He regularly participates in contests and achieves top results in them.
Sascha and Olli explain what you need to consider when purchasing a hardscape, and they have a few tips. For instance, you will learn which rocks may have influence on your water parameters or which ones can be planted particularly well.
Of course, lime containing rocks are not always disadvantageous. On the one hand you can use them consciously for hardening the water, and on the other hand the amount of rocks being used or the CO2 level in the aquarium are also important. So be sure to monitor your parameters very thoroughly when adding new rocks to an already running aquarium. In completely newly set-up aquariums it is important to check the hardness level regularly also during the first weeks after the start.
