Azure storage accounts allow you to store all kinds of different data that is accessible from anywhere in the world through HTTP or HTTPS. A few things you could store in Storage Accounts are images, videos, binary data, text files, log files, database backups. Azure has four different types of storage which are Blob, File, Table and Queue storage. Storage Accounts allow you to store data much cheaper than on managed disks which makes it suitable for large amounts of data.
In this tutorial we'll go over what Storage Accounts are, securing a storage account, storage types, replication, hot and cold access tiers, firewalls, data lake, access keys, shared access signatures, pricing and Storage Explorer.
