Open the Facebook app
Tap the Hamburger menu
Open Settings
Tap Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation and deletion
Tap Deactivate account
Re-enter your password

Check Opt-out of receiving future notifications from Facebook

then tap deactivation and deletion

then tap continue

here keep in mind Facebook will automatically reactivate your account

then tap continue

then check Opt-out of receiving future notifications from Facebook
then just tap deactivate my account, then you will be logged out of Facebook
let’s jump into messenger to start open messenger app
tap continue
now tap your profile photo in the top left corner
Then scroll all the way to the bottom
then tap legal and policies at the bottom of your screen
Usually, on android, you can find this option here on IOS; if you can’t find it here, just uninstall the app and reinstall the Messenger app again

tap deactivate messenger

then just tap deactivate
you will be logged out of messenger
