International action hero Jean-Claude Van Damme stars as Luc Deveraux, the only survivor of the original, ill-fated Universal Soldier project. He has come out of retirement to be the technical advisor on a special government program preparing a new, stronger breed of soldier that is more sophisticated, intelligent and agile. All goes well with the program until the soldiers' supercomputer, SETH (Michael Jai White), develops a mind all its own, and sets in motion a plan that includes killing Deveraux and kidnapping his daughter. With the aide of Erin (Heidi Schanz), a tough reporter in search of her big story, and his partner Maggie (Kiana Tom), Deveraux once again is forced to combat the most lethal army ever developed as he races against the clock to save his daughter and keep his family together.
