This is a STAR TREK CARTOON Slide-Show STORY about how GENE RODDENBERRY, after failure, figured a way to get STAR TREK on Television.

Artist: Brad Sucks
Album: (2003) I Don’t Know What I’m Doing
Storyboard Art/Video: (2008) Tony Tuthill. Created for a FLEET RADIO Music segment on the original HAILING FREQUENCY PODCAST from 2005 - 2010 ( See: i-Tunes )

LYRICS
Washed up on the shoreline, getting sand in my face
I took it hard, and now I'm spending my days
Drunk, lying around, in total comfort and sin
And if you believe me, I can do it again

***( EDIT! I misheard the lyrics when creating the VIDEO and thought the lyrics were: 'Slow down my friends, i never took it easy!' The actual lyrics don't...er...really fit...)

Sold out all my friends, and then I took it easy
Everybody said they never would believe me
I paid no attention to the very end
Oh yeah, I think I started a trend

Dead clothes, horses running crazy out of the gates
Player haters in the meadow, learning how to create
Big belly, well, he said he was a man from L.A
He seemed okay, and so I signed it away

Sold out all my friends, and then I took it easy
Everybody said they never would believe me
I paid no attention to the very end
Oh yeah, I think I started a trend

Sold out all my friends, and then I took it easy
Everybody said they never would believe me
I paid no attention to the very end
Oh yeah, I think I started a trend
---------------------------
This song from BRAD SUCKS worked perfectly for a story about the creator of STAR TREK, Gene Roddenberry and how he started one of the greatest trends of all time!

aside: I honestly thought the lyrics were: 'SLOW DOWN MY FRIENDS. I NEVER TOOK IT EASY.' I didn't have the lyrics back then.

A video special; created for, The Hailing Frequency Pod Cast (2005-2010 itunes)/ FLEET RADIO segment to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Trek!
