Deleting a video on Instagram is a straightforward process, whether it’s a regular video post, a reel, or a story. The steps for deleting videos are similar to deleting photos, allowing you to manage your content easily.
To begin, open the Instagram app and navigate to your profile by tapping the profile icon at the bottom right of the screen. Once on your profile, locate the video you want to delete. If it’s a reel, tap on the "Reels" tab; if it’s a story, it will appear under your story highlights if saved.
After finding the video, tap on it to open it. Once it’s open, look for the three-dot menu icon, which is usually located at the top right corner of the video. Tap on this icon, and a dropdown menu will appear. Select the "Delete" or "Trash" option from the menu.
When prompted, tap "Delete" again to confirm the removal of the video. Once confirmed, the video will be deleted from your profile, and it will no longer be visible to your followers.
If you mistakenly delete the video, you have 30 days to restore it from the "Recently Deleted" folder. After this period, the video will be permanently removed from Instagram’s servers.
