Hello everybody!
In this video, I show how I preserved caladium tubers. There were three options:
in bags in dry sphagum moss, periodically moisturizing if the tubers begin to dry out;
in pots with a substrate with periodic moistening on surface of the substrate;
seedlings in pots that vegetated all winter and did not shed their leaves.
A soil mite was found on some tubers, which caused healthy tubers to rot and dry out faster. It was decided to soak all the tubers in two different preparations for 30-40 minutes each in turn.
The first drug against ticks and pests Actellik, the second fungicidal action against rot and viruses Farmayod. After that, the tubers were dried during the day and planted in pots with a special substrate for caladiums according to my recipe.
It was also concluded that the caladiums themselves must completely end the growing season, it is impossible to forcibly cut off the leaves and roots and dry the tuber. Otherwise, it may lead to the death of the tuber.
