Cracking down on fentanyl smuggling in California
Governor Gavin Newsom is doubling the deployment of the California National Guard across the state and along the border to stop illegal drugs from getting into the state.
The service members are part of CalGuard's Counter Drug Taskforce operations. They work with local, state and federal law enforcement partners to stop illegal drugs from getting into the state.
